We strain and toil
Grasp and tire
We hurt each other
Knowing or not
Trying to find pleasure
And to be known
Is it okay to be human?
Even here
The Spirit still hovers over chaos
Bending but not to break
A new creation doesn’t know what it is
When it’s in the womb of God.
