Amnesia
When did you lose your delight? You used to dance through the fields, Filling your lungs with sky For no purpose other than Allowing joy to surge through your limbs. When did you forget about the Beauty in being free to be you? Others opinions Now weighing you down, Dear one, within you is a never-ending treasure hunt Meant to be found. When did you forget prayer is the breath in your lungs? Like a cat splayed out in the sun, Or the earth as it longs for rain, The darkest of

Healer
Gather up all the untruths before you. Welcome all that’s been hidden, Dare to face the stories That tell you You’ve been disqualified From belonging Then Simmer, condense, alchemize, Fold it all in These wounds are becoming healing salve, For you For the world When the shame comes knocking Love will make her the mother of light. Everything you need is Already within The heart of gold you were given Quiet and listen, How do you see yourself in the eyes of God?

So when you hear a word That sticks up under your ribs, tingling within, A word dripping with gravity, Pay attention. As monar

This is my body, she is mine.
I whisper to her, “I forgot about you. I’ve been disconnected, remind me how to return.” So I sat quiet and learned from her. I apologized to her. I told her I was sorry for my years of disconnect and disgust. I was sorry for comparing her to impossible standards. She was only ever trying her best to take care of me. Ever serving, ever giving, ever welcoming me home. This is my body, she is me. I will love her. Take care of her. Listen for hunger and nourish her. Respond to
